The Darley entry of Transparent and Romansh, both sons of Bernardini, will be part of the field for Friday’s 1 1/8-mile, $100,000, Curlin Stakes at Saratoga Race Course.

The entry is 5/2 on the morning line.

Transparent will be making his second stakes start, and is the more experienced of the two runners, having previously gone postward eight times. The dark bay colt finished 6th in the Grade 3 Gotham Stakes at Aqueduct in March, but hasn’t raced in more than 3 months. Irad Ortiz Jr. rides the Kiaran McLaughlin charge, who will break from post position no. 2 in the eight horse field. Transparent scored a 10-length victory in a 1-mile allowance race his last time out on April 4. The colt last worked July 19, breezing a half-mile in 50 2/5 over the Oklahoma Training Track.

Romansh broke his maiden in his previous start, winning a 1 1/16-mile race over an off-track by an impressive 5 1/2-lengths at Belmont Park. The race had originally been carded for the turf but was moved to the main track. Romansh will break from post position no. 6 and jockey Junior Alvarado will get the return call. The dark bay colt is trained by Tom Albertrani.

Both Transparent and Romansh were broken and trained in Aiken by Tim Jones.
