According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:

An employee of a store on Whiskey Road was detained on Thursday for breach of trust with fraudulent intent after she was caught on tape stealing money from cash registers multiple times.

A 61-year-old Aiken man reported on Thursday that someone had applied for two credit cards in his name.

An Aiken man reported that someone slashed a tire on his truck that was parked outside his home in The Corners.

An unknown woman entered a store on Whiskey Road on Saturday, placed two empty containers in a cart and then filled the containers with items. She then exited the store with the items without paying for them, loaded them into a vehicle and fled the scene.

A 37-year-old Williston man was detained for shoplifting on Sunday after he allegedly tried to take several cases of beer from a store on Whiskey Road without paying.

Officers responded to a call of shots fired on Laurens Street at about 10:45 p.m. on Sunday. They found 10 shell casings and spoke with individuals who had been outside, who said they heard gunshots and saw “sparks” coming from the direction in which the casings were discovered.

A vehicle break-in was reported on Laurens Street on Monday. A broken window was reported, but officers were not able to locate an owner of the vehicle.

Officers responded to a burglar alarm at a store on Richland Avenue on Monday. There, they found a glass door shattered and a cinderblock lying nearby inside the store.

According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:

A burglary was reported at a home on Jeffcoat Drive in Wagener on Saturday. The owner reported a television, a computer and jewelry missing.

Additional burglaries were reported on Square Circle Road in Graniteville on Saturday and Swamp Road in Beech Island. The owners reported a gallon of milk and electronics missing.

Vehicles were reported stolen on Sunday from Cedar Road in Aiken and Quail Ridge Drive in Jackson.

Vehicle break-ins were reported on Graystone Drive in Beech Island and Green Acres Park Lane in Warrenville.
