Fred Walton Hale
AIKEN, SC – Fred Walton Hale, 74, of Aiken, SC, passed away July 9, 2013, at Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, OH, following a long illness.
Fred was born June 12, 1939, in Jewell Ridge, VA.
He was preceded in death by his parents Walton and Goldie Hale of Rowe, VA, and Patricia Hale, a sister-in-law.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Caroline Hale, his sons Darrell Hale (Donna) and Scott Hale (Steve), brothers Arlin Hale (Lois), Ralph Hale (Nancy), James Hale (Margaret), Harold Hale (Drema), Clayton Hale (Barbara), Kenneth Hale, Bill Hale (Freda), Bob Hale (Bea) and sisters Ruby Hurt, Patty Ann Carter (Raymond) and Cathy McGlothlin (Perry).
Fred was a US Air Force Veteran, self employed Weatherstripping Subcontractor in the Washington, DC area, a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Aiken, and a member of the Friday Crew of Aiken County Habitat for Humanity.
Fred was very generous with his time and talents in helping others.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 2pm at St. John’s United Methodist Church, Aiken.
