Brett Fraley Berghel of Chicago, IL, and Dr. Christopher Michael Cutshall of Greenville, SC, were married June 22, 2013, at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Lookout Mountain, TN. The bride was given in marriage by her parents. The Rev. Robert Childers officiated.


The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Berghel, Jr. of Chattanooga, TN. She is a granddaughter of Rear Adm. (Ret.) and Mrs. Ricardo Ratti of Rockville, MD and Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Berghel of Clarkesville, GA.


The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Michael Cutshall of Aiken. He is a grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Peery of Houston, TX and Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Cutshall of Port Neches, TX.


Claire Mickey of Bloomington, IN, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Paige Berghel of Chattanooga, TN, sister of the bride; Holly Cutshall Mrozik of Singapore, sister of the groom; Briana Amosson of Phoenix, AZ, friend of the bride; and Elizabeth Sturm of San Francisco, CA, friend of the bride.


Matthew Cutshall of Duncan, SC, brother of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Robert J. Berghel, III of Chattanooga, TN, brother of the bride; John Cutshall of Central, SC, brother of the groom; Michael Drake of Greenville, SC, friend of the groom; and Franklin Dempsey of W. Hartford, CT, friend of the groom.


Master William Cutshall of Duncan, SC, nephew of the groom, was the ringbearer.


Miss Lauren Cutshall of Duncan, SC, niece of the groom, was the flower girl.


Elizabeth Cutshall, sister-in-law of the groom, was the soloist.


Following a reception at the Fairyland Club, Lookout Mountain, TN, the couple left for a wedding trip to San Francisco and Napa Valley.


They will reside in Greenville.


The bride is a 2000 graduate of Barrington High School. She is a graduate of the University of Iowa with a degree in English and French literature and a graduate of Indiana University Kelley School of Business with a master’s degree in professional accountancy. She is employed by Ernst & Young.


The bridegroom is a 2000 graduate of South Aiken High School. He is a graduate of Clemson University with a degree in chemical engineering and a graduate of the Medical University of S.C. with a degree in medicine. He is employed by Carolina Medical Affiliates in Spartanburg.
