A pair of Gustav Schickedanz homebred 3-year-old fillies, stakes placed Nadurra and Thats Our Princess, are entered in Sunday’s 7-furlong, $125,000, Duchess Stakes at Woodbine.

Nadurra drew post position no. 4 in the six-horse field, and Thats Our Princess will start from the rail.

The more experienced of the two fillies, Nadurra placed third in the Fury Stakes on May 4, her second start in 2013. The bay filly is a daughter of the 1996 Sovereign Award winning sprinter Langfuhr.

This will be Nadurra’s ninth consecutive start at Woodbine.

The Mike Keogh charge won her sophomore campaign debut, a 5-furlong allowance race over the Polytrack Elite surface on April 20, and will be making her third stakes start as a 3-year-old. Jockey Tyler Pizarro will be in the irons.

The second half of the Schickedanz entry will be making her second career stakes start. Thats Our Princess broke her maiden on the same card that Nadurra placed in the Fury Stakes. Luis Contreras gets the return call on the daughter of two-time Horse of the Year Curlin. The bay filly finished second her last time out, a 6-furlong allowance race at Woodbine on June 30. Mike Keogh conditions Thats Our Princess, with the filly having last worked at Woodbine on July 14, breezing 5-furlongs in 1:00.60.
