Aiken County Sheriff's Office has made arrested a man following an armed robbery Tuesday night at an Aiken convenience store.

Brandon Clifford Knight, 32, has been arrested in relation to a robbery of the Kents Korner at 2557 Wagener Road in Aiken.

On Tuesday at about 9:25 pm, the Sheriff's Office received a call from the clerk about a suspect who held him up at knife point and stole some beer, police said.

The clerk described the suspect as a white male wearing a white shirt and light blue jeans, and told deputies that the suspect left in an unknown vehicle, but threatened to return for cigarettes.

While Sheriff's deputies were on scene, the suspect, identified as Knight did return to the store, where the clerk pointed him out to the deputies, police said. Knight was arrested on the scene.

Knight was driven back to the store by another suspect, who investigators say had no involvement in the robbery. Knight was taken to the Aiken County detention center where he is expected to be charged with armed robbery and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
