Police blotter for July 16

According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:

A 41-year-old Aiken man was detained for DUI on Friday after he was seen by officers speeding on Powderhouse Road. The man exhibited signs of intoxication during a traffic stop, and he was taken into custody after failing multiple field sobriety tests.

A 5-foot by 10-foot trailer was reported missing from a driveway on Highland Park Drive on Friday.

A window was reported broken at a business on Richland Avenue on Sunday.

Vehicle break-ins were reported this weekend on Foxwood Drive, Casaba Drive, Cottonwood Drive, Cottonwood Circle, Partridge Drive, Price Avenue, Banks Mill Road, Columbia Avenue and Lundee Drive.

According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:

A burglary was reported at a home on Diane Street in Aiken on Sunday. The owner reported a video game system missing.

An additional burglary was reported Sunday on DI Drive in North Augusta.

A vehicle break-in was reported on Oak Street in Gloverville on Sunday. Stereo and audio equipment were reported missing.

Additional vehicle break-ins were reported on Turnbull Street in Gloverville, Lundee Drive in Aiken, Augusta Road in Warrenville and on Jefferson Davis Highway in Graniteville.

A vehicle was reported stolen from Gun Range Road in Aiken on Sunday.
