The Aiken Department of Public Safety is seeking two men who robbed the downtown Aiken branch of TD Bank Saturday.

Police responded to the strong-arm robbery around 1:50 p.m. at the bank, located at the corner of Chesterfield Street and Park Avenue, after two black males forced tellers to hand over cash.

The two suspects then fled from the scene, according to Capt. David Turno.

One suspect was wearing a backpack, and the other was holding a white purse he reportedly stole from someone inside the bank. They were both wearing hoodies.

Reports indicate that the suspects ran westbound from the bank, and back toward Park Avenue.

There were no reported injuries or casualties.

Public Safety received video surveillance footage from the bank and surrounding businesses.

“Hopefully, someone will recognize them,” Turno said.

There were no reported injuries or casualties.
