Taylor Bishop of Boiling Springs, SC and Joshua Keith Scott, of Aiken, SC, were united in marriage Saturday, May 11, 2013, in the gardens at River Road and Jasmine House in Columbia, SC. The Reverend Walter Cantwell of Mt. Pleasant, SC, performed the ceremony. Music was provided by organist Anne Brewer, aunt of the groom, and soloist Jeremy Buzzard. The bride is a daughter of Ms. Lindley Ewing and Mr. and Mrs. Scott Bishop of Boiling Springs, SC. She is a granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Ewing and Mrs. Martha Bishop and Mr. Billy Bishop of Boiling Springs, SC.


The bridegroom is a son of Ms. Wendy Hovey and Mr. and Mrs. Mackey Scott III of Aiken, SC. He is a grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Mackey Scott Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Gale Hovey, both of Aiken, SC.


Chapin Ewing, aunt of the bride, of Fisco, Texas, served as the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Abbey Ewing and Ari Ewing, both cousins of the bride from Boiling Springs, SC; Ashtyn Gardner, cousin of the bride, of Spartanburg, SC; Manda Ala, sister of the bride, of Charleston, SC; and Molly Link, friend of the bride of Savannah, Georgia.


Bishop Scott, cousin of the groom, of Greenville, SC, served as the best man. Other groomsmen were Christopher Scott, cousin of the groom of Aiken, SC; and friends David Jennings of Fisco, Texas, Drew Schettino of Columbia, SC, Ross Pelc of Austin, Texas, and Kyle Shannon of San Antonio, Texas.


Brice Ewing, brother of the bride, and Zayden Bishop, nephew of the bride, served as ring bearers while Cerys Ewing and Mackenzie McDaniel, nieces of the bride, served as flower girls.


The bride is a graduate of Boiling Springs High School and the University of South Carolina and is currently a doctoral student at University of North Carolina – Charlotte.


The groom is a graduate of South Aiken High School and of the University of South Carolina with a degree in Finance. He is employed as an investment consultant with TD Ameritrade in Charlotte, NC.
