Barnwell man sought for attempted murder

Authorities are searching for a man who is wanted on attempted murder charges who may be in the Aiken area.

Dustin Robert Williamson, of Cherry Road in Barnwell, is wanted for three counts of attempted murder, two from March 13 and one from June 17, according to a statement from the S.C. State Law Enforcement Division. He is also wanted by Blackville authorities for on a murder charge for May 30 incident, police said.

Williamson is known to keep a pistol in his front waist band concealed by his shirt, according to a statement. The last shooting was carried out with a .45-caliber weapon, and Williamson is known to carry a High Point .40-caliber.

Williamson may be driving a silver 2010 Chevrolet Equinox with S.C. tag JBU865, registered to Sandra and John Williamson.

Williamson has ties to Newark, N.J., and Ft. Lauderdale Fla., but does not have financial means to get to either location at this time, according to the statement. He may be in the Aiken area.

Anyone with information on Williamson's whereabouts can call, email or text anonymous tips to CRIMES. Tipsters could earn a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.
