Vaucluse Road reopened; boil advisory in effect

Vaucluse Road is open now that water main repairs have been completed, according to the Aiken Department of Public Safety, but a boil advisory is still in effect.

Crews are flushing are hydrants to remove air trapped in the water lines. Water service to the affected area should return to normal shortly.

The boil advisory is in effect for Vaucluse Road between Church Street and Richland Avenue; Linden Street between Vaucluse Road and Richland Avenue; Richland Avenue between Lancaster Street and Vaucluse Road; and Church Street between Vaucluse Road and Edgefield Avenue. Residents should boil water prior to consumption for the next 24 hours, until 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
