According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:
A 40-year-old Aiken man was detained for DUI on Tuesday after he was pulled over on Corporate Parkway for drifting across the road. The man smelled of alcohol and exhibited signs of intoxication. He was taken into custody after failing multiple field sobriety tests.
An unknown man entered a store on Richland Avenue on Tuesday, put an air conditioner unit into a cart and tried to leave the store without paying. A store employee confronted the man, who left the unit and fled.
An Aiken man reported on Monday that someone took an air conditioner unit from his home on Colleton Avenue.
A vehicle break-in was reported on Kershaw Street on Tuesday. The owner reported that a window was broken out and a checkbook was missing. About $1,400 in checks were reportedly cashed on his account.
According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:
A Warrenville woman reported a prowler outside her home on Buckskin Court on Wednesday.
Burglaries were reported on Union Church Lane in Aiken, Ted’s Way in Aiken, Jefferson Davis Highway in Beech Island and Pine Log Road in Aiken.
A vehicle was reported stolen from L&L Lane in Aiken on Tuesday.
