According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:

Three unknown women entered a store on Whiskey Road on Monday and began stuffing clothing into their purses. The women tried to leave the store without paying for the items but were confronted by a store employee. They then went back to the clothing department, put the items back and left the store.

A vehicle break-in was reported on Laurens Street on Monday. The owner reported that someone broke out a window and scratched the doors, but nothing was taken.

Vehicles were reported stolen on Monday from Hayne Avenue and Aldrich Street.

According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:

An Aiken woman reported on Monday that someone poured sugar into the gas tank of her vehicle. The sugar was discovered after the victim took her car to the shop because it had been running differently.

Two vehicle break-ins were reported on Watsonia Drive in Aiken on Monday. A wallet and contents were reported stolen from each vehicle.

Burglaries were reported Monday on Pinewoods Park Circle in Beech Island and Ascauga Lake Road in North Augusta.
