Police blotter for June 24
According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:
A tool belt and tools were reported stolen from the front porch of a residence on Dorr Street in North Augusta on Saturday.
A burglary was reported at a residence on Hutto Pond Road in Aiken on Saturday. The responding officer observed that the screen of a 36-inch Samsung flat screen television was broken and that an unknown subject appeared to have entered the house through a bedroom window that hadn’t been secured.
A Warrenville man reported on Saturday that he was in his shop on Richardson Lake Road when he heard a vehicle in the driveway and then heard what sounded like a gunshot. The man stepped outside and saw a vehicle in his driveway with an unknown subject behind the wheel. The man said the vehicle performed two donuts in the driveway before it “took off” down the road.
A burglary was reported at a residence on Gunter Pond Road in Wagener on Saturday. The complainant said items were missing from the house and nearby shed. The responding officer observed damaged to the shed and an open window over the house’s air conditioning unit.
A burglary was reported at Raiford’s Auto Repair on Hampton Avenue on Saturday. A window on the front door was broken, but complainant said nothing appeared to be missing.
A burglary was reported at a residence on Ergle Street in Graniteville on Saturday.
A shoplifting incident was reported on Friday at Palmetto Express on Edgefield Highway in Aiken. A female clerk said an unknown subject took multiple items without paying for them.
