According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:

Officers responded to a burglar alarm at Aiken Elementary School about 5:20 p.m. on Wednesday. They found evidence that someone tried to raise some of the windows at the school, but it didn’t appear anyone made entry.

Burglaries were reported at multiple businesses on Richland Avenue on Wednesday.

According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:

Burglaries were reported Wednesday on Audubon Circle in North Augusta, Neo Drive in Beech Island, Haskell Road in North Augusta, Reynolds Pond Road in Aiken and Myrtle Street in Gloverville.

Vandalism was reported at a business on Hampton Avenue in Aiken. Someone allegedly tried to gain entry by busting out a window on the front of the store, but bars and a burglar alarm appeared to keep them from entering.

A vehicle break-in was reported on Tyler Acres Road in Wagener on Thursday.
