According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:

A 48-year-old Aiken woman was detained for shoplifting on Monday after she allegedly took a wallet from a store in Aiken Mall.

A 20-year-old New Ellenton man was detained for shoplifting after he allegedly tried to take T-shirts, cigarette lighters and fishing bobbers by hiding them in a backpack at a store on Whiskey Road.

A 22-year-old Aiken man was detained for DUI after officers pulled him over on Fairway Ridge for speeding. The man smelled of alcohol and exhibited signs of intoxication. He was taken into custody after failing multiple field sobriety tests.

Vehicles were reported stolen on Tuesday from Aberdeen Avenue and Plunkett Avenue.

According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:

Four-wheelers were reported stolen on Tuesday from Mountain Laurel Drive and Old Graniteville Highway in Aiken.

Vehicle break-ins were reported Tuesday on Old Chalk Bed Road in Graniteville and Audubon Circle in North Augusta.

A burglary was reported on Free Indeed Boulevard in North Augusta on Tuesday.
