Lydia Annabel Smith of Summerville, SC, and George Michael Rabon of Aiken, SC, were married June 15, 2013, at St. Paul’s Church. The bride was given in marriage by her father Jennings Foster Smith. The Rev. John Scott officiated.

The bride is a daughter of Jennings Foster Smith and Patricia Smith of Summerville, SC. She is a granddaughter of C. Eugene McCarthy and Irene McCarthy of Rockville Centre, NY, and P. Frank and Annabel Smith of Summerville SC.

The bridegroom is a son of Rodney and Paige Rabon of Aiken. He is a grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William Saville Lackland of Columbia, SC, and Mr. and Mrs. Everett Wallace Rabon, Sr. of Aiken, SC.

Irene Rose Smith of Nashville, TN, was the maid of honor. Christal Smith DeBoer of Monee, IL, was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Emily Fox of Charleston, SC, friend; and Elizabeth Rabon Lindroth of Columbia, SC, sister of the groom.

Rodney Rabon of Aiken SC, father of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were John Lawrence Holliday of Greenville, SC, friend of the groom; William Rabon of Clemson, SC, brother of the groom; Charles Rabon of Aiken, SC, brother of the groom; and Jennings Smith of Summerville, SC, brother of the bride.

Paul Robert DeBoer III of Monee, IL, was the ring bearer.

Audrey Anne DeBoer of Monee, IL, was the flower girl.

Following a reception at St. Paul’s Church, the couple left for a wedding trip to Costa Rica.

They will reside in Savannah GA.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of Northside Christian School. She is a graduate of Charleston Southern University with a degree in Music Therapy. She is employed by Dorchester County Mental Health Department.

The bridegroom is a 2005 graduate of South Aiken High School. He is a graduate of Clemson University with a degree in Accounting. He is employed by Hancok Askew LLP.
