The 39th Season for the Hopelands Summer Concert Series continues with a performance by the Aiken Civic Ballet on Monday.

The performance will take place on the Roland H. Windham Performing Arts Stage at Hopelands and will begin at 7 p.m., lasting approximately 60 minutes. This performance is presented by the Friends of Hopelands & Rye Patch Inc. This year's concert series is dedicated to the memory of Cecelia “CeCe” Reynolds, concert series volunteer for 35 years, and Carl Crosby, Crosby's School of Dance owner and director.

The Aiken Civic Ballet is South Carolina's longest continuously-operating dance company. Founded by Crosby, the company has been in existence for more than 36 years. Under the artistic direction of Diane Toole Miller, the company produces original ballets and contemporary dance works.

Miller is a native of Aiken who started studying dance under Crosby at age 8 and, by age 13, became a member of the Aiken Civic Ballet Company.

Diane became a dance lecturer at USC Aiken and spent several years there teaching beginning and intermediate ballet. In 2006, she became the owner and artistic director of the Crosby School of Dance and continues the tradition started by Crosby with the Crosby-Miller School of Dance.
