Come and enjoy an afternoon of golf while experiencing the fulfillment of helping disadvantaged children from the Aiken area and throughout South Carolina.
This opportunity is available at noon on June 17, with the annual Camp SERTOMA Golf Tournament in Aiken at Woodside Plantation Country Club.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Camp SERTOMA of South Carolina, a nonprofit organization supporting a lake summer camp experience for South Carolina children with speech and hearing disorders, as well as underprivileged children.
Camp SERTOMA is held each summer in the upstate on the shores of Lake Hartwell. Six, one-week camp sessions are held for children to engage in activities such as nature hikes, archery, sailing, campfires, cookouts, fishing, boat rides, swimming, recreational games, skits and much more.
For most of the children, it is a “once-in-a-lifetime experience” that hopefully may make a difference in their lives.
To participate, the SERTOMA Club asks those interested to consider fielding a team of four with a cost of $300.
Lunch before play and a post-tournament steak dinner to be served. There will be prizes for winning teams, as well, with a Captain’s Choice format.
Also, several sponsorship opportunities are available starting at $100.
