Lael Stable’s and All In Stable’s Willcox Inn drew the rail for the 1 1/8-mile Grade 2, $300,000 Dixie Stakes today at Pimlico. The turf race on the Preakness Stakes undercard will be the fourth start of the son of Harlan’s Holiday’s 5-year-old campaign.

The dark bay colt is conditioned by Mike Stidham. Jockey James Graham will have the return call, and Willcox Inn will carry 118 pounds. Willcox Inn is the co-fourth choice at 6/1 on the morning line in the field of 13 horses.

The multiple graded stakes winner finished second his last time out in the Grade 2 Mervin H. Muniz Jr. Handicap at the Fair Grounds on March 30.

The 5-year-old horse breezed 5-furlongs in 1 minute over the Polytrack Elite surface at Arlington Park on May 11.

Willcox Inn’s last stakes victory came at the 1 1/8-mile distance during his sophomore campaign in the Grade 3 Hawthorne Derby on Oct. 15, 2011.

A winner at ages 2, 3 and 4, Willcox Inn has 5 wins, 3 seconds and 3 thirds in 17 starts, and has won $775,443.
