According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:

A 17-year-old student was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia on Wednesday after a school official found a pipe used to smoke marijuana in the student’s vehicle at school. The assistant principal told officers he “had information which caused him to search the subject’s car.”

A 16-year-old Graniteville boy was detained for shoplifting on Wednesday after he tried to take two phone cases from a store on Whiskey Road without paying.

A 63-year-old Aiken man reported that someone damaged his vehicle, which was parked on East Gate Drive, by carving a profane statement into the paint on one of the vehicle’s doors.

According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:

A Graniteville woman reported on Wednesday that an unknown man in a white Chevrolet pickup keeps pulling into her driveway, shining light into the windows of her Elbert Street home and knocking on the windows around the home. The woman told officers she yelled out the door for the man to go away, but he returns every five to 10 minutes.

A burglary was reported at a home on Oak Street in Warrenville on Wednesday. The owner reported two guns, pool sticks and a television missing.

Additional burglaries were reported on New Bridge Road in Aiken, Sand Dam Road in Wagener, Celeste Mobile Home Park Circle in North Augusta, Pine Tree Lane in North Augusta, Powderhouse Road in North Augusta, Thomas Park in North Augusta, Herndon Dairy Road in Beech Island and New Morgan Lane in North Augusta.

A man entered a grocery store on Jefferson Davis Highway in North Augusta on Wednesday, placed three cases of beer into a shopping cart and then exited the store with the cart.

Vehicle break-ins were reported on Richland Avenue in Aiken and Stonemint Drive in Springfield.
