Darley Stable’s Incognito entered in Peter Pan
Darley Stable’s Incognito hopes to make it three in a row Saturday at Belmont Park in the 59th running of the 1 1/8-mile, $200,000, Grade 2 Peter Pan Stakes.
The gray son of the 1992 Horse of the Year A.P. Indy is the third choice on the morning line at 5/1 in the field of 11 horses. Incognito’s dam, Octave, won two-thirds of the New York Racing Association’s Triple Tiara, capturing the 2007 Mother Goose and Coaching Club American Oaks.
A winner of his previous two starts, Incognito will break from the 10 hole, carry 116 pounds, and jockey Mike Luzzi will have the return call. Incognito was broken and trained in Aiken by Tim Jones. The colt has made all five of his previous starts at Aqueduct, and this will be the fifth start of his sophomore campaign. Incognito is conditioned at the racetrack by Kiaran McLaughlin. The colt broke his maiden in a 1-mile maiden special weight race on March 16th, scoring a 3 1/4-length victory. He closed to get up to win by a nose in his last start on April 13th at Aqueduct. Incognito has two wins, one second and one third in five starts, and has bankrolled $100,710.
