According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:
Officers responded to a call of shots fired on Brentwood Place about 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday. They searched the area near the home of the person who reported the shots and found five 9mm shell casings.
Officers responded to a burglar alarm at a home on Knox Avenue. The homeowner said that after the alarm was activated, she checked and found the front door open. She told officers she was sure she locked the door earlier. There were no signs of forced entry, and officers were unable to locate a suspect.
Three unknown people entered a store on Richland Avenue on Tuesday, filled motorized carts with groceries, then put the groceries into bags and left the store without paying for the items. The same suspects are also accused in two other similar shoplifting incidents.
An unknown man took four pairs of designer sunglasses from a store on Whiskey Road on Monday.
An 18-year-old Aiken High School student reported on Monday that a student pushed him while in the hallway and took a set of headphones from him.
An Aiken man reported on Tuesday that someone struck his mailbox and some shrubs in front of his Forest Pines Drive home.
According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:
A burglary was reported on Howlandville Road in Warrenville on Tuesday. The owner reported guns, a laptop and a digital tablet missing.
Additional burglaries were reported on Beaver Dam Road in Aiken and Anthony Drive in Warrenville.
A vehicle break-in was reported on Cherokee Drive in North Augusta on Tuesday.
