A 43-year-old Aiken man was detained for disorderly conduct on Monday after he was found “staggering” on East Gate Drive, according to a police report. The man reportedly had slurred speech and smelled strongly of alcohol. He told officers he had just finished drinking a bottle of wine and was heading to a nearby store to purchase another alcoholic beverage.

A 39-year-old Graniteville man was detained for disorderly conduct on Monday after he began cursing and screaming profanity at doctors and nurses in the emergency room at Aiken Regional Medical Centers, according to a police report. The suspect reportedly continued screaming even after being told by an officer to stop.

An Aiken woman reported on Monday that someone made several fraudulent transactions on her credit card in Fairfield, Calif., according to a sheriff’s report.

A North Augusta woman reported on Monday that an unknown person made a $2,000 transaction on her bank card to make a credit card payment, according to a sheriff’s report.

The Sheriff’s Office is investigating burglaries on Whiskey Road in Aiken, Augusta Road in Bath, Haskell Road in North Augusta and Mt. Beulah Road in Windsor.

A vehicle was reported stolen from East Buena Vista Avenue in North Augusta on Monday, according to a sheriff’s report.

A vehicle break-in was reported on Brownstone Drive in Beech Island on Monday, according to a sheriff’s report. The owner reported money missing.
