Anchor health to hold yard, bake sale
Tables are still available for the indoor/outdoor yard and bake sale at Anchor Health and Rehab, 550 Eastgate Drive. The sale will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. AAUW to hold luncheon on Saturday
The Aiken branch of the American Association of University Women will hold a luncheon on Saturday starting at 11 a.m. in Room 116 of the USC Aiken Business and Education Building. Dr. Sandra Jordan, chancellor of USCA, will be the guest speaker. Jordan is the fourth chancellor of USCA who has a strong background in education. She also serves on the Southern Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Colleges board of directors, the Savannah River Site Community Reuse Organization board, the Nuclear Workforce Initiative Task Force and the Peach Belt Conference board of directors as well as a member of the Rotary Club of Aiken. MAiken Music women to perform Saturday
MAiken Music’s 11 a cappella women’s voices will sing “On the Road Again” at the Fermata Club, 841 Whiskey Road, on Saturday at 7 p.m. They will be joined by Belles Canto and Kinderchoir for an evening of family-friendly music that will span many ages and many styles. Tickets are $10 adult and $5 students.
Historical tour to be held in Beech Island
The Beach Island Historical Society will hold its Seventh Annual Historic Beech Island Tour of Homes, Churches and Cemeteries on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a barbecue lunch served behind the Visitors Center from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tour tickets are $25 the day of the tour or $20 in advance, $20 for senior citizens (age 60 and older), $15 in advance. Kiwanis Club to hold ‘Wish Upon A Car’
The Palmetto Kiwanis Club of Aiken will hold its eighth annual “Wish Upon A Car” Benefit Car Show on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Aiken Mall, 2441 Whiskey Road. All proceeds will benefit the local chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation as well as Kiwanis-supported children’s programs such as K-Kids.
