The Lower Savannah Council of Governments (LSCOG) in Aiken has been awarded a 2013 Excellence in Regional Transportation Award from the National Association of Development Organizations (NADO) for their Lower Savannah Regional Bicycle & Pedestrian Plan and Resuscitation of Transit (and Senior) Services in Allendale plan.
NADO is a Washington, D.C.-based association that promotes programs and policies to strengthen local governments, communities and economies through regional cooperation, program delivery and comprehensive strategies.
