Copperville Farm’s Dance to Bristol was dominant Saturday night in winning the Sugar Maple Stakes at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races, The 4-year-old daughter of the 2004 Eclipse Award winning sprinter Speightstown scored a 9-length victory in route to winning the 7-furlong race. It was the third lifetime stakes victory for the graduate of the Tim and Cary Frommer program. Dance to Bristol is trained by Ollie Figgins, III, and was ridden to victory by Xavier Perez,
It was the third consecutive victory for the chestnut filly, who has hit the board in her last nine starts, having finished worse than second only once in her career, a fourth place finish in the Ruthless Stakes at Aqueduct on Jan. 14, 2012. Dance to Bristol scored wins in consecutive sprints prior to the Sugar Maple Stakes, winning a 5 1/2-furlong race at Laurel Park on Feb. 6 and a 6-furlong contest on March 15 at Laurel Park.
Dance to Bristol won the Pandera Stakes at Laurel Park during her juvenile campaign, and the Marshua Stakes during her sophomore year.
The multiple stakes winner has 6 wins, 7 seconds in 13 starts, and has bankrolled $350,880.
