JACKSON, SC – Funeral Services for Mr. Robbie Tipton, 57, of Highland Circle, who entered into rest April 19, 2013, will be conducted Monday morning at 11 o’clock from the Jackson Bible Church. Pastor Allen Cantrell officiating. Interment in Jackson Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Tipton was a life-long resident of Jackson, South Carolina and a member of Jackson Bible Church. He was a graduate of Southeastern Bible College. Mr. Tipton was the former owner of Jim and Lilie’s Golf Club and was a Journeyman Pipefitter. He was an active volunteer in a prison ministry at Lower Savannah River for 8 years and also led Wednesday evening Bible Study at We Care Nursing Facility. Mr. Tipton loved hunting, playing golf and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Sharon C. Tipton; a son, James Allen Tipton, Jackson, SC; two daughters, Charlotte Faye Tipton and Rebecca Helen Tipton, both of Jackson, SC; a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Donna Tipton, North Augusta, SC. Pallbearers will be Danny Webster, Hugh Webster, Alan Bishop, Terry Lucero, Craig Borden and Joel Bennett. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday afternoon from 5 until 7.
