Meredith Lea LeGrand of North Augusta and Jacob Nelson Youngblood of Aiken were married April 14, 2012, in Augusta, GA. The bride was given in marriage by Timothy LeGrand. The Rev. Stephen McNeill officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Timothy and Christy LeGrand of Benton, MO, and Mike and Jennifer Dunaway of Grovetown, GA. She is a granddaughter of Edward and Kathleen Westrich and Gilbert and Mildred LeGrand.
The bridegroom is a son of Mike and Donna Youngblood of Aiken. He is a grandson of George and Lee Stapleton and Bill and Mary Youngblood.
Gabrielle LeGrand, sister of the bride, of Cape Girardeau, MO, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Sara Berkbigler of Cape Girardeau, MO, friend of bride; Sarah Brennan of North Augusta, SC, friend of the bride; Catherine Holmes of Augusta, GA, friend of the bride; Sarah Watson of Augusta, GA, friend of the bride; Mary Fuller of Augusta, GA, friend of the bride; and Christi Kaufman of Augusta, GA, friend of the bride.
Mike Youngblood of Aiken was the best man. Groomsmen were Luke Youngblood of Graniteville, SC, brother of the groom; Cameron Allen of Warrenville, SC, cousin of the groom; Rob Wilhite of Aiken, SC, friend of groom; Neal Glover of Jackson, MS, friend of groom; and Tony Hanks of Lexington, SC, friend of groom.
Grady Allen and Jones Wilhite were the ringbearers. Adaline Allen was the flower girl.
Following a reception at Perry’s Landing, the couple left for a wedding trip to Costa Rica.
They will reside in North Augusta.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School. She is a graduate of Medical College of Georgia with a degree in Occupational Therapy. She is employed by the VA Medical Center.
The bridegroom is a 2001 graduate of Aiken High School. He is a graduate of USC Aiken with a degree in Exercise Science. He is employed by Hitchcock Healthcare.
