An Aiken man reported on Friday that the lugnuts on one of his vehicle’s wheels were loose, according to Aiken Public Safety. The man reported that he found the lugnuts on another wheel loose in February.

An Aiken man reported on Friday that someone took the catalytic converter from his vehicle that was parked on University Parkway.

A 19-year-old Beech Island man was detained for simple possession of marijuana on Friday after officers pulled him over on or a seat belt violation. An officer smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, and during a search found a small plastic bag containing a green, leafy substance.

A 33-year-old Aiken man was detained for open container on Saturday after an officer pulled him over for driving erratically on East Pine Log Road. The man reportedly had an open can of beer in a brown paper bag in his cup holder.

An attempted burglary was reported at a home on Alfred Street on Saturday. A window was found broken, and three unknown men were seen fleeing the scene after a neighbor spotted them.

Aiken Public Safety is investigating a burglary on Laurens Street on Friday. The owner reported a television, a DVD player, Internet and cable modems and two piggy banks missing.

A 34-year-old Aiken man was detained for disorderly conduct on Sunday after reportedly yelling at and threatening staff at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

A shoplifting was reported at Walmart on Whiskey Road on Friday. The female suspect reportedly took three video game controllers, cut the packaging off and placed the items into her purse.

An unknown man tried to steal a carton of cigarettes from a store on Hampton Avenue on Saturday.

Vehicle break-ins were reported to Aiken Public Safety on Richland Avenue, Laurens Street and East Gate Drive.

A stolen vehicle was reported on Richland Avenue on Friday.

A vehicle break-in was reported on East Buena Vista Avenue in North Augusta on Sunday. The owner reported radios missing.

Burglaries were reported to the Sheriff’s Office on Glasshouse Road in Graniteville, Whaley Pond Road in Graniteville and Claypit Road in North Augusta.
