A 31-year-old Aiken man was detained for shoplifting on Wednesday after he allegedly unwrapped a cell phone inside Walmart and placed the phone into his backpack.
A burglary was reported to Aiken Public Safety on Alfred Street on Wednesday. The owner reported a laptop missing.
A vehicle break-in was reported on Old Town Road on Tuesday. The owner reported prescription medications and a wallet missing.
A North Augusta man reported on Wednesday that he was assaulted at a motel on Jefferson Davis Highway, according to a report. The man said he was with a couple of people at the motel and that he woke up in a ditch with a broken leg. The victim was reportedly very uncooperative with officers and would not provide names for the suspects or what he was doing before he woke up in the ditch.
A silver trailer was reported stolen from Country Club Hills Drive in North Augusta on Wednesday.
Burglaries were reported to the Sheriff’s Office on Laurie Drive in Beech Island, Happiness Lane in Beech Island, Legion Road in Warrenville, Princess Lane in Aiken and Redd Branch Road in Aiken.
Vehicle break-ins were reported to the Sheriff’s Office on Nicholson Drive in Aiken and Morningside Drive in Aiken.
A stolen vehicle was reported on Beech Island Avenue in Beech Island on Wednesday.
