Kiwanis Club to hold tricycle races

The annual Aiken Kiwanis Club Tricycle Races are scheduled at the H. Odell Weeks Activities Center on Wednesday, May 1 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Proceeds from the Tricycle Races are returned to the children of Aiken County through donations and sponsorships of programs – among them the Terrific Kids program in elementary schools, Builders Club in middle schools, Key Clubs in high schools and the Circle K Club at USC Aiken.

Businesses or individuals (including parents) can sponsor children, ages 3-8, to ride in the Tricycle Races. The children then compete in their respective age groups in a tricycle race. Registration begins at 3:30 p.m., with races beginning around 4 p.m. The first five children to finish in each race win a trophy, and all other contestants receive ribbons for participating.

For more information on sponsorships for businesses and individuals, call Deidre Martin at 803-641-3448.
