Navy ensign Adrienna D. Dobbs, daughter of Robin and Eugene Dobbs of Trenton, has graduated from Navy Officer Candidate School and has received a commission as an ensign in the United States Navy while assigned at officer training command, Newport, R.I.
The mission of OCS is to develop civilians, enlisted and newly commissioned personnel morally, mentally and physically and imbue them with the highest ideals of honor, courage and commitment in order to prepare graduates for service in the fleet as naval officers.
Dobbs is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willie Cal (Mabel) Holston of Ridge Spring and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene (Barbara) Dobbs Sr. of Aiken. Dobbs is the great-granddaughter of Pearl Holston of Ridge Spring. Ensign Dobbs has one brother, Marcus Dobbs, and one sister, Desiree Dobbs, both of Trenton.
Dobbs is a 2013 graduate of Navy Officer Candidate School of Newport, R.I., 2012 graduate of Bethune-Cookman University of Daytona Beach, Fla., and a 2008 graduate of Strom Thurmond High School of Johnston. Dobbs joined the Navy in June 2010.
