An Aiken business owner reported on Monday that someone tried to cash a check that had been stolen from his business during a previous burglary.
Aiken Public Safety is investigating a burglary on Monday at a Dibble Road home. Officers found a broken window and a door that had been kicked in, according to reports. They also found blood smeared on the door frame and drops of blood on the floor. The owner reported jewelry, an iPad and headphones missing.
An Aiken woman reported on Thursday that someone used her personal information to open a satellite television account in her name. She was informed of the new account by a credit reporting agency.
An Aiken woman reported on Monday that someone broke a bedroom window in her home on Columbia Avenue. Officers said it didn’t appear that anyone entered the home.
A vehicle break-in was reported on Sunday on Bedford Place. The owner reported a saw, audio equipment, golf clubs, cash and sunglasses missing.
An additional vehicle break-in was reported on Long Ridge Loop on Monday. A GPS was reported missing.
A North Augusta woman reported on Monday that her two juvenile children had ordered 19 pay-per-view pornographic movies and one Disney movie without her permission, according to a sheriff’s report. The movies totaled about $250. The woman said she wishes to press charges and that she did not give them permission to get the movies.
Aiken Electric Co-op reported on Thursday that about 20 feet of wire and a piece of pipe had been stolen from Thomasville Road in Wagener.
An Aiken woman reported on Monday that someone took a handgun from her bedroom dresser in her Sharyn Lane home.
Vehicle break-ins were reported to the Sheriff’s Office on Edgefield Highway in Aiken on Monday and Glasshouse Road in Graniteville on March 19.
Burglaries were reported to the Sheriff’s Office on Monday on Trojan Road in Monetta, Main Drive in Aiken and Holley Lane in North Augusta.
A Martinez, Ga., man reported on Monday that someone took a box of his tools from a shop on Jefferson Davis Highway in North Augusta.
