The North Augusta Council of Garden Clubs will host a plant sale on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Riverview Park’s adaptive playground.

Every Saturday in March, the DuPont Planetarium will present “Larry Cat in Space” at 7 p.m. and “To the Moon and Beyond” at 8 p.m. Weather permitting, the observatory, housing the Bechtel telescope, will be open for viewing after each show. Tickets are $4.50 for adults, $2.50 for students grades 4K-12, and $3.50 for seniors, $1 for all USCA faculty, staff and students. There is a 50 percent discount with a valid college or military ID. Shout 94.7 FM Radio and Omega Phi Alpha National Service Sorority are hosting Becca’s Closet on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at USC Aiken in the SAC Mezz. This event is for any young ladies who are unable to purchase a prom dress. Come take a look at the selection. Aiken State Park in Windsor will host a program celebrating the park’s origins and African-American legacy on Saturday at 2 p.m. The presentation will go over the site’s unique history through a special PowerPoint, talk and historical tour. Virginia College in Augusta will host a Spring Fling Open House for the community and former, current and prospective students today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., to be held at the campus located at 2807 Wylds Road, Suite B. While learning about the educational opportunities available to Augusta-area students at Virginia College, attendees will have the opportunity to help local families in need by bringing non-perishable items to be donated to Golden Harvest.
South Carolina natives Lee Bros, Matt and Ted, will be signing their cookbooks and offering tastings from their book “Charleston Kitchen” on Monday from noon until 2 p.m. at The White Crane on Monte Sano Avenue, Augusta, and from 5 until 8 p.m. at the 3 Monkeys Fine Gifts on Laurens Street. Food for the tastings will be prepared by VeryVera. “Charleston Kitchen” is $35 and available at both locations.
The 18th Triple Crown Golf Classic will be held on Monday the Woodside Plantation Country Club. Golfers will have a chance to compete for over $10,000 in prizes.
