An Aiken woman reported on Monday that she received a call from a man claiming she’d won $1.5 million from the Publisher’s Clearing House, according to Aiken Public Safety. The man said the victim needed to send him $500 to claim her prize, but she didn’t provide any money or information.

A vehicle break-in was reported on Richland Avenue on Monday. The owner reported that a bag containing keys to his home, car and church, as well as a credit card and eyeglasses, was stolen.

Two vehicle break-ins were reported on University Parkway on Monday. In one case, a rear window of the vehicle was broken, and the owner reported her purse missing.

An Aiken woman reported on Monday that someone made an unauthorized purchase on her credit card at Walmart on March 4.

Burglaries were reported to the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office on Mt. Zion Road in Graniteville, Silver Bluff Road in Beech Island, Wagonton Road in Wagener, Tyler Avenue in North Augusta and Harper Valley in Graniteville.

Vehicle break-ins were reported on Bettis Academy Road in Graniteville and Camp Rawls Road in Wagener on Monday.

Stolen vehicles were reported on Briar Patch Lane in Warrenville on Monday and Vanderbilt Drive in Aiken on Sunday.

A shoplifting was reported at a gas station in Warrenville on Monday. An unknown man reportedly fled with carton of cigarettes after his card did not work to purchase it.
