The Georgia Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is proud to announce the 2013 Augusta Man & Woman of the Year candidates. Eleven outstanding local professionals are vying for the title this year. The list of candidates includes Amy Adamo of Aiken-based Southern Company. In the Man & Woman of the Year campaign, candidates compete in honor of local children who are blood cancer survivors, the Boy & Girl of the Year. The men and women strive to achieve their personal best by working with their family, friends and contacts to raise as much money as possible for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The titles are awarded to the man and woman who raise the most funds in a 10-week period. The Augusta Man & Woman of the Year campaign kicked off on March 7 and will culminate at a Grand Finale Gala event on May 17 at the Sacred Heart Cultural Center.
