A third arrest has been made in the Feb. 19 armed robbery of Quick Cash on Richland Avenue. Officers from the Aiken Department of Public Safety arrested Michael Tyrone Quarles for his suspected role, and the alleged perpetrator has been charged with armed robbery and kidnapping.

The incident took place on the morning of Feb. 19. ADPS received a call from an area business person, who told authorities that she had seen what she believed were two suspicious looking males outside of a business. The witness told police the men had crossed Richland Avenue and entered Quick Cash. Moments later, ADPS received a call that Quick Cash had been robbed. The suspects were armed when entering the business, and took an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspects were described as black males, wearing dark clothing with black hooded sweatshirts, and were seen exiting a silver colored Dodge pickup truck before committing the robbery.

Carlos Demetrius Williams and Jamarques Deundray Salley, who are suspected of participating in the crime, had been arrested previously and charged with armed robbery.
