Black History Month was celebrated at Ridge Spring-Monetta High School with the guest appearance of Roy Keitt Jr. He delivered a spoken word performance to select students and teachers.

Keitt was encouraging to the students, who also recited their poems. Keitt is a graduate of Wagener-Salley High, and his wife Angel is a graduate of Ridge Spring-Monetta High. They are owners of the Royal Image Hair Studio of Aiken and Wagener. He told the student to continue to write poetry and they too will develop a love and passion for the “spoken word.”
