Aiken police have made multiple arrests following a Wednesday shooting on Greenville Street.


Investigators with the Aiken Department of Public Safety have arrested Darryl Lavon Snow, 40, for the attempted murder of Christopher Maurice Johnson, 26.


Snow is charged with attempted murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.


Snow also was allegedly shot as he fled the incident location, but Snow has refused to cooperate with investigators, and his shooter has yet to be identified, according to police.


The shooting happened at around 3 p.m. Wednesday at Johnson's residence on the 400 block of Greenville Street, NW.


During the course of the investigation, Aiken Public Safety detectives said they located weapons, illegal drugs and money at Johnson's residence. 


Following the search at the residence, Christopher Maurice Johnson, 26, of Aiken and Jennifer Lynn Oakman have been charged with trafficking crack cocaine, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine within a half mile of a school, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Johnson and Oakman may face additional charges, police said.


Johnson has been arrested, but Oakman is still at large.

Snow and Johnson are currently being held at the Aiken County Detention Center.


The Aiken Department of Public Safety is being assisted in the investigation by the Aiken County Sheriff's Office and South Carolina Law Enforcement Division in the investigation.
