Aiken Downtown Development Association has coordinated another Spring Sidewalk Sale for March 7 to 9.
Spring is right around the corner, which means downtown Aiken is ready to usher out the old and welcome in the new, offering exciting bargains for all downtown shoppers.
Participating downtown merchants will celebrate the annual event in the traditional manner, offering bargains either on sidewalk tables or just inside their business doors, if the weather turns bad, the sale will occur come rain or shine.
“We will have many items on our sale tables that are reduced 50 percent or more. In addition we will have 20 percent off storewide, with a few exclusions,” said Ron Brenneman, owner of Birds and Butterflies.
Lionel Smith Ltd., located on Laurens Street, is “trying to clear out fall to get ready for spring” – offering up to 80 percent off select items.
All the participating merchants will have specials for downtown shoppers. As of Friday, 22 businesses have signed up to participate. They include: Aiken Antique Mall, 3 Monkeys Fine Gifts, Aiken Dry Goods, Birds and Butterflies, The Bone-I-fide Bakery, Caroline’s Boutique, Charlotte’s Bridal Fashions, Equine Divine, Lionel Smith Ltd, MB Jewelry and Beads, My Aiken Body, Pitter Patter Children’s Boutique, Plum Pudding, Powercuts Salon, Spa and Gift Boutique, Re-Fresh, Tea Garden Gifts, True Value Hardware and Vinya’s.
