The Henry Middleton Chapter of D.A.R. welcomed Lauree Caldwell, R.N., Women’s Health Nurse Navigator from Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

WE is a locally grown program of women taking care of women. According to Lauree, the mission is to enlighten and empower our members by providing them with three things – a peer navigator and support system, a health and wellness education program and quality health care.

WE is a women’s health initiative very community focused and money remains locally with more than 1,000 members and growing.

If you have just moved in to town and need guidance in finding a doctor or if you have need of guidance with weight, smoking, exercise or failed resolutions, WE can help.

As a personalized outreach program, Lauree can assist in locating a full range of services, such as support groups, community resources and educational programs.

Lauree was joined by Melissa Summer, the director of marketing at Aiken Regional. Summer gave out packages of information regarding the program to nearly 30 D.A.R. members in attendance at the Aiken County Historical Museum.

Membership to WE is free; visit aikenregional.com/we and sign up.

The Henry Middleton Chapter of D.A.R. meets throughout the year and welcomes questions about membership. For more information, call Carolyn Miller at 649-7909.
