Ligons principal of Columbia school

Love Ligons, a former elementary school teacher in the Aiken County Public School system, is the first African-American female principal of the School District 5 of Lexington and Richland counties. She is the principal of Nursery Road Elementary in Columbia.

Ligons has 14 years of experience in public education. She has taught elementary school in District 5 of Lexington and Richland counties, and Gwinnett County Schools in Gwinnett, Ga.
