Two Aiken High School students were detained for minor in possession after video showed them passing a bottle of beer around on a school bus on Feb. 11.
A 49-year-old man was detained for driving under the influence on Feb. 12 after officers pulled him over on East Gate Drive for driving recklessly. He was arrested after failing multiple field sobriety tests.
A 39-year-old man was placed on trespass notice for Walmart on Whiskey Road after he reportedly became belligerent with a pharmacy employee after finding out how much his medicine would cost.
A 14-year-old South Aiken High School student was detained for possession with intent to distribute and possession with intent to distribute within a half-mile of a school after someone reported that he had marijuana on him. A search revealed the student had three bags containing a leafy, green substance that looked and smelled like marijuana.
Shopliftings were reported at Dillard’s in Aiken Mall, JCPenney in Aiken Mall, Reid’s on York Street and Walmart on Whiskey Road.
An Aiken woman reported someone took a large sum of cash from her purse while she was hosting a party at her home on Friday.
Aiken Public Safety officers investigated calls of shots fired Saturday on Laurens Street about 10:40 p.m. and at Alfred Street and Croft Avenue about 10:55 p.m. but could not find evidence to substantiate the claims.
Vehicle break-ins were reported on Cox Avenue on Saturday and Senate Drive on Sunday.
A stolen vehicle was reported on Carver Terrace on Sunday.
Vehicle break-ins were reported to the Sheriff’s Office on Tower Landing Road in Beech Island, Highway 1 in Aiken and Cherry Avenue in North Augusta.
Burglaries were reported on Augusta Road in Warrenville and Thomasville Road in Wagener.
Stolen vehicles were reported on Jackson Street in Langley and Bates Road in Aiken.
