An Aiken man was accused of stealing cases of beer from a delivery truck, then offering $10 to the driver to not call the police, according to the Aiken Department of Public Safety.
Arrest warrants were issued for Keith Bradberry, of Wilds Avenue, for breaking and entering-auto.
The incident happened at a convenience store on Whiskey Road on Monday, according to a report. The driver was making a delivery at the store and had gone in to drop off some cases of beer.
The driver told officers he saw a man in the store acting “strangely,” then go outside and pull his Cadillac CTS up to the truck, according to the report. Bradberry allegedly opened one of the side doors of the truck and began removing cases of beer and throwing them into his vehicle.
The driver ran out to the truck and approached Bradberry, who said “he was sorry” and began putting the beer back onto the truck, according to the report. Bradberry reportedly offered to pay the driver $10 “not to call the police,” but as the driver called, Bradberry jumped into his car and fled.
