Another arrest was made Monday morning in a shooting that occurred last week that put an Aiken man in the hospital.

Devontay Kaseem Gordon, 22, of Aiken, surrendered himself to the Aiken County detention center and is charged with attempted murder, according to the Aiken Department of Public Safety.

Latoya Denise Edwards, 28, of Belton, was arrested last week and charged with attempted murder in the same case.

The shooting occurred Wednesday night near the home of 35-year-old Anthony Oakman, who was found face-down in front of Colleton Court Apartments on Colleton Avenue. He suffered several gunshot wounds, including one to the head, according to reports.

Oakman was transported to Georgia Regents Medical Center for “advanced medical treatment” and is still hospitalized.

Investigators stated that there was some kind of altercation between two individuals, during which Oakman was reportedly shot.

The investigation is ongoing.
