The institution of marriage is inviolable, and the principle so fixed in man’s conscience that he longs for its comfort, even while attempting to change its definition.

Genesis 5:2 established marriage for all time, “Male and female he created them; and blessed them, and called their name, Adam.” (Man was not complete without woman). The structure started the family of father, and mother, brother and sister, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and so on, so as to make the genealogy of Christ traceable to Abraham, the “father of the faithful,” in Matthew 1; and genealogy of Mary who brought forth the “Seed of the woman to bruise the serpent’s head,” traceable to Adam, in Luke 3.

Not only is this structure essential to an orderly society, but God decreed it to be the design of his plan for man as a species. For as Adam was put to sleep and Eve, his bride, taken from his side; so Christ was put to sleep on the cross, and his side opened that the church, his bride, might exist. Ephesians 5:25, “Husbands love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it.”

It is the height of foolishness to speak of gay marriage, which advocates the ultimate destruction of civilization. And the thought of putting innocent children into situations, as adoption to such couples, is criminal. Those who advocate such lifestyles would destroy the last vestige of honor and mortality and take us back to Sodom.

Society may survive a degree of the lifestyle – it always has – but it will not survive its official endorsement.
