The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an alleged assault by a man on his stepdaughter’s 14-year-old boyfriend, according to a sheriff’s report.
The incident happened about 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Jackson Middle School.
The victim told officers he was sitting on the bleachers in the gym, holding his girlfriend’s hand when her stepfather walked up to him and told him to stop touching her, according to the report.
The suspect began to push the 14-year-old victim into the bleachers and choke him with his hands, according to the report.
An officer spoke to a third party who confirmed the victim’s story and also obtained statements from school staff.
The officer observed no injuries on the victim. The suspect and his stepdaughter reportedly left the scene before officers arrived.
The report did not indicate what was going on at the school on a Saturday afternoon.
