North Slope and I Want You to Know are victorious

Darley Stable’s homebred North Slope broke his maiden by 1 1/2-lengths in a 1-mile race on the turf Saturday at Gulfstream Park. The 3-year-old colt is by Grade 2 winner and World Record holder Elusive Quality, and was broken and trained in Aiken by Tim Jones. The Kiaran McLaughlin charge is out of the stakes placed A.P. Indy mare Jinni.

Gustav Schickedanz’s homebred I Want You to Know came from off the pace to get up in the final jumps to win a 1-mile race by a nose at Laurel Park on Jan. 30. The 5-year-old son of Dixie Union paid $46 to win. The gelding is conditioned by Catherine Robinson. I Want You to Know increased his lifetime bankroll to $91,017.
