Officials investigate armed robberies
The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery that happened early Thursday morning in Warrenville. According to a report, the incident happened about 2:30 a.m. at the suspect’s home on Alibi Lane.
The victim told officers the suspect pointed a grey revolver at her while an unknown woman looked through the victim’s purse and took the items she wanted. The two suspects reportedly took everything in the purse.
According to the report, the victim reported more than $1,000 in adult and children’s clothing and cell phones missing.
The Sheriff’s Office is investigating a second armed robbery that happened Thursday on Breeze Way Lane in Graniteville.
According to a report, the 45-year-old victim was home alone sleeping when he heard a knock at the door of his home. When he opened it, he saw two men wearing all black.
One of the suspects pushed the victim to the ground and pulled out a black handgun, then took the victim’s wallet and walked into his roommate’s room before leaving the home, according to the report.
The victim said it didn’t appear any items were taken from his roommate’s room, according to the report. The victim reported a wallet and an ID card stolen.
